SL Psychotherapy and Wellness Clinic is seeking experienced relational therapists to join our team. The therapists need to have competence to work with couples/relationships (have training and experience in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and/or Gottman Method) as well as training and experience in working with clients navigating themes of sexuality.
We are a team of psychotherapists and marriage and family therapists working virtually across Ontario and locally in Ottawa West. We are seeking therapists to offer hybrid of in person (Kanata/Nepean) and virtual services to individuals and couples/relationships. We value collaborative, compassionate and particularly, anti-oppressive approaches to therapy. We offer flexibility and independence, as well as support and community.
Who we are
We are a collection of Registered Psychotherapists who specialize in providing therapy to individuals, couples/relationships and families. We are a team who are additionally trained in trauma treatment and sex therapy approaches. We all endeavor to create a space in which clients feel safe to explore any variety of issue they may be facing.

Requirements:
- Masters level education completed in a related field (e.g., Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage/Couple and Family Therapy)
- Member in good standing with the College of Registered of Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or College of Psychologists of Ontario
- Experience in working with couples/families and sex therapy
- Associate Therapists will have 5 plus years of experience and no need for supervision
- Registered Therapists will have 3 years of experience and need for minimal supervision
- Clinical Therapists will have at minimum one year post graduation experience and will need supervision
- Specific training or certificate in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and/or Gottman Method or equivalent
- Specific training or certificate in Sex Therapy (preference given to those who are already members or willing to seek membership in ASTO)
- Specific training or certificate in Trauma processing therapy modality (e.g. EMDR, IFS or Somatic Experiencing)
- Your own professional liability insurance and clear vulnerable sector police check
- Ability to work either from home providing virtual services and/or from the office (Kanata/Nepean) providing in-person services.
Expectations:
- Available to work 3 shifts of 5 direct client contact hours per week including: Two evenings a week OR Saturdays or Sundays during the day in addition to daytime availability. A minimum of 10-15 direct client hours per week, and the therapist can build up to full time as they wish.
- Professional and Ethical practice following all CRPO (or relevant governing body) requirements
- Maintenance of own client files and required documentation (e.g., notes) following the clinic procedures.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research in the field
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and ethically
- Management of schedule and client communication.
